Frequently asked questions 1 (Bonus Mile and Shopping Mile)

5,000 Welcome Bonus Mile

You can earn 5,000 bonus miles when you accumulate a spending of HK$2,000 or more within the first 3 months of card issuance. (supplementary cardholder's accumulated spending will be combined with the principal cardholder's account).

Retail Transaction Mile HK$8=1 Mile

You can earn miles every time you make a purchase with your card. Retail transaction mile will be accumulated by end of the following month based on your billing closing date.

Earn Miles with Octopus AAVS (Automatic Add Value Service)

HK$250 will be automatically transferred from your ANA Card Hong Kong account to your Octopus when its remaining value is insufficient to cover the full cost of the transaction, saving you the trouble to recharge your Octopus at Add Value Machines and Customer Service Centres. The add-value HK$250 will entile the Cardholder to earn miles.




Frequently asked questions 2 (For ANA CARD HONG KONG Application)

1Which bank issues the ANA CARD HONG KONG?
ANA Card Hong Kong VISA Platinum card is issued by Dah Sing Bank. This bank is one of the major Hong Kong banks; they provide both consumer and commercial financial services.

2Can I earn mileage by using the credit card?
Yes. For every 8 Hong Kong Dollars you spend, you earn 1 mile (Less than HK$8 is cut away); excluding annual fee, balance transfer fee, cash advance, finance charges, and other handling fees.

3How can I apply for the credit card?
Complete the application form and mail to us with the following items.


  1. Photocopy of your Hong Kong ID or passport (If you would like to apply the Supplementary Card at the same time, please enclose that of any Supplementary Card Applicant).
  2. Photocopy of Hong Kong VISA (If available)
  3. Photocopy of utility and bank statements (for verification of residence location)
  4. Income verification

If you are employed,

  • Latest bank statement that shows your income
  • Certificate of Income Tax Payment
  • Employer payslip

If you are a business owner,

  • Business Registration Certificate
  • Certificate of Profit Tax

4I heard that I can earn 5,000 bonus miles for a limited time. How does this work?
After you successfully apply the Card and fulfill the accumulated spending of HK$2,000 within the first 3 months from card issuance, you will earn 5,000 Welcome Bonus Miles. The miles will be credited into your ANA Mileage Club account next month.

5Can I apply for this card even if I plan to live in Shenzhen?
This card is limited to the people living in Hong Kong. However, if your employer is located in Hong Kong and your salary is paid in Hong Kong dollars, please try to apply because you may be qualified.

6Even if I am a housewife, can I still apply for this card?
Yes. You can apply with a photocopy of your bank account balance that provides proof of your income.

7How long does it take to receive this card after I apply?
Once we have received your completed form and all the required documents,your application will be processed within two to three weeks.

8Is it possible to mail the card to my office address?
Yes, it is possible. However, company or department name may be shortened.

9How much is the annual fee?
After the first year annual fee waiver, cardholder is required to pay the annual fee of the coming year. Annual fee of HK$800 for each Principal Card and HK$400 for each Supplementary Card will be charged. If the Cardholder accumulated a retail spending of HK$50,000 in the past 12 months from the month required to pay annual fee, the Principal and Supplementary card annual fee will be waived.

* Accumulated spending includes retail transactions only. And excluding the following transactions, including but not limited to cash advance, balance transfer, bank handling fee (annual fees, financial charges, late fees and cash advance handling fee, etc), bank bill payment/Payeasy transaction, Jet Payment, Octopus AAVS amount, “Jetso Installment”, “Cash-in Plan” installment, interest-free installment transaction, tax payment, casino transaction, unposted / cancelled / refunded and all unauthorized transactions. The retail spending of Supplementary Cardholder will be combined with the Principal Cardholder.




Frequently asked questions 3 (For credit card usage)

1If the card is lost or stolen, what should I do?
We offer emergency services 24 hours a day. Call us at 852-2828-8138 as soon as possible after card is lost or stolen. 

2How do I activate my card?
You can activate your credit card either by phone or Internet. 

Using automatic voice services by phone

  1. Call 2828-8168. 
  2. Select "2" for English, and then select "1", "1'", and then "2".  After this process, enter your "16 digit credit card number", "the first 6 numbers of your Hong Kong ID or passport", or "your birthday as stated on your Hong Kong ID or passport".  (Example: For January 16th, 1974, input "16011974")

By Internet

  1. Go to Dah Sing Bank website
  2. Click the "Credit Card Service" button. 
  3. Click the "Activation of Dah Sing Credit Card" button. 
  4. Enter your Hong Kong ID or passport number, 16-digit credit card number and your birthday.  And then click "confirm". 

3How can I use the cash advance service?
You can use ATM machines of any bank that is a member of JETCO, or an ATM machine displaying the VISA/MASTER logo, with your 6-PIN number.  Your PIN number will be sent to you within 10 days after your card is activated.  Cash advance service is also available at the teller's window by showing your ID card. 

4How much is the finance charge and interest rate for the cash advance services?
3% of the cash advance, or a minimum or HK$55 will be charged for each cash advance. Also, interest will be applied everyday from the date of your cash advance. 

5If I forget my PIN number for cash advance, what should I do?
You cannot contact us for the PIN code by phone because of security reasons.  If you forget your PIN, we will need to reissue a new PIN number, so please contact the service center. 

6How can I increase my credit limit?
Six months after opening your account, you can contact the service center in order to increase your credit limit. 

7How much is the finance charge if my balance exceeds the credit limit?
If the balance exceeds the credit limit as of the closing date, HK$180 will be charged as handling fee for exceeding the credit limit. 

8After canceling the card, is the annual fee refundable on a pro-rated basis for the remaining months?
There is no refund of the annual fee based on Dah Sing Credit Card Cardholder Agreement.

9How do I use my online account(e-banking)?
To use your online account(e-banking), enter your login name (your credit number) and password (PIN for e-Banking), and then click the login button.  You will be able to access your account.  If you do not receive (or lose) your PIN for e-Banking, contact the ANA Card Hong Kong service center at 852-2828-8138. 

10How do I apply for auto payment?
Use the auto payment application form that was enclosed with your credit card; or email/contact the service center.    Fill the form out, and bring it to your designated bank.  It takes about 6 weeks to process, therefore make sure that you make payments manually until your application has been processed. 

11Can miles from the Supplementary Card be added to the Family Account of my ANA Mileage Club? 
All miles from using the Supplementary Card will be credited to the Principal Cardholder's ANA mileage club account. 

12When will miles from the ANA Card Hong Kong be added to the ANA Mileage Club account?
They will be credited to ANA Mileage Club account within 1 to 2 months. 

13I contacted the ANA Mileage Club to change my address. Do I also need to contact ANA Card Hong Kong?
Yes, please contact the service center. 

14 If I see an item on my statement that I do not remember purchasing, what should I do?
Contact the service center if you see an item that you do not remember purchasing.  You will need to complete a claim form and mail or fax it within 60 days from the date of the transaction.  Although it takes about 45 to 90 days, send us the total balance or the balance amount after subtraction of the disputed transaction. If you pay the balance amount after subtraction the disputed transaction, interest will be charged.  This charge will be removed when the claim is approved.  You will receive a notification letter from the Bank.
